Join us on our annual rendezvous from the UK South Coast to the northern coastline of France, bringing Princess owners together to journey further than they perhaps would on their own.
This year we are visiting Deauville, an internationally renowned seaside resort on the Côte Fleurie of France’s Normandy region, famous for its grand casino, golf courses, horse races and American film festival. Not only famed for its many events hosted throughout the year, Deauville is also known for its wide stretches of flat sand beaches, lined with 1920s boardwalks and bathing cabins. Quaint restaurants and cafes look out onto the beach, providing an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The town dates back to the late 1800’s with chic boutiques, elegant villas, chateaus and half-timbered buildings in abundance.
After World War II, the resort’s international reputation grew. A cluster of marinas beside the Touques estuary added to the permanent attractions, while the American Film Festival, inaugurated in 1975, began drawing stars and fans of the silver screen each September. For those who are particularly interested in war history, there is plenty to see and do and excursions can be arranged during the trip – Pegasus Bridge, memorials and cemeteries are just some examples of what we can see, as well as the Bayeux tapestry. If you’re looking to experience more of Deauville and what the town is famed for, excursions to the horse racing and nearby casinos can also be arranged.
The Rendezvous
In flotilla, we shall travel from the UK South Coast and rendezvous in Deauville arriving on 25th July in the afternoon. A regular comment made by our previous guests is the advantage of being able to travel across the channel not only with a group of Princess yachts, but also being led by a RYA trained YachtMaster. A Princess trained technician will also be in attendance throughout the cruise to give you peace of mind whilst under way. This event gives our UK owners a fantastic opportunity to socialise and meet with other Princess owners, to discuss their boating habits and pastimes and to learn from each other. Following our previous annual rendezvous, our boat owners have travelled across the channel on their own with confidence.

Saturday 25th July
We shall depart the south coast of the UK in flotilla to Deauville, France arriving at approximately 3.00pm (french time)
For those travelling from the South West, berths can be arranged for you at Swanwick Marina
Welcome drinks reception to be served at the Deauville Yacht Club
Sunday 26th July
Take the day at your leisure to explore Deauville
Evening dinner at Les Manoirs de Tourgéville
Monday 27th July
Planned Excursion or take the day at your leisure
Recommendations can be made towards local events, restaurants and museums
Tuesday 28th July
Afternoon at the races
Private lunch to be held at Clairefontaine Racecourse, with flat races taking place in the afternoon
We have also arranged an exclusive viewing of the horses training on the beach, with a leading racehorse trainer (time and date tbc)
Wednesday 29th July
We shall depart Deauville for our return journey home to the UK
